Owen Roe Winery

At Owen Roe we are guided by a commitment to the highest standards of winemaking. Since 1999 our goal has been simple: to produce beautiful wines from superior sites in the Pacific Northwest, where fruit ripens slowly and fully, with excellent acidity and balance. All of our grapes are hand harvested and bin fermented with the manual method of punch downs. Wines are handled with minimal processing and aged in French Oak barrels. As humble servants of Mother Nature we extend our uncompromising standards to our respect for the earth; in the winery and the vineyard we employ methods that work with the environment to the greatest extent possible.

Mauritson

Six generations of farming has taught us a few things about choosing premium fruit! Each harvest, the best from our 230 acres throughout the Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys is reserved for our Estate Wines. These wines, which include our signature Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon, showcase the fruit-forward, floral and spice-driven characteristics attributed to these appellations.

With over 270 acres of estate vineyards and close relationships with longtime growers throughout Sonoma County, we are able to source and manage our favorite blocks from each vineyard throughout the growing season and select the most premium fruit during harvest.

Each vineyard and appellation we source from carry particular qualities in either the terroir or the farming style that we look for when considering a Mauritson wine release.

Long Meadow Ranch

At Long Meadow Ranch we set out to prove that we could produce world class wine using sustainable, organic farming methods. Among the pioneers in establishing an organically farmed vineyard in the Mayacamas Mountains, Long Meadow Ranch is still one of less than thirty organically certified vineyards in the County of Napa.

We are not former hippies in tie-dyed T-shirts. We do not make eclectic slightly "off-quality" products that you have to "believe-in" to value. We are committed to proving that world class quality and responsible farming go hand-in-hand.

We do not approach organic farming theologically. We do not have a belief system we are trying to evangelize. Instead, we have learned that organic farming methods produce higher quality at lower cost, with real consumer benefit. Every farming practice we have adopted at Long Meadow Ranch is grounded in scientific first principle and we hold a well-developed point of view why it works. We are committed to the highest quality and organic farming is the mechanism that allows us to achieve extraordinary results.
